About

EEG Scholars will conduct research with a UC Davis faculty member, with day-to-day mentoring by a postdoctoral researchers or senior graduate student. Research will begin in late June and end in mid-August with a research symposium including scholars from other UC Davis summer research programs.

In addition, weekly professional development seminars, held with scholars from other immersive research programs, will include workshops on writing, preparation for graduate school applications, careers in environmental biology, and responsible conduct of research. As part of this series, scholars also hear research presentations by faculty and advanced graduate students.

Scholars also can elect to join optional professional development programs: a workshop to learn the R-scripting language, a science communication workshop led by UC Davis Media Relations professionals, and the Ecology-Evolution Graduate Preview Program, which is a virtual graduate school application workshop designed and presented by UC Davis graduate students.
